Responsibilities & Context:
1. Strategic Marketing & Branding
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans aligned with SMCH’s growth goals.
- Enhance hospital and medical college brand visibility through digital campaigns, PR, community outreach, and health awareness programs.
- Oversee advertising, promotional campaigns, and patient engagement activities across multiple channels (social media, traditional media, events, etc.).
- Monitor competitors’ marketing strategies and adjust SMCH’s positioning to gain a competitive edge.
2. Patient Acquisition & Service Promotion
- Design patient-focused campaigns to increase OPD, IPD, and diagnostic center footfall.
- Develop referral networks with physicians, clinics, and pharmacies.
- Build and manage loyalty programs, discount packages, and corporate healthcare cards.
- Track patient satisfaction surveys and feedback to ensure retention and repeat visits.
3. Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify and secure corporate contracts with companies, NGOs, embassies, and insurance providers for employee health packages.
- Develop collaborations with educational institutions for student recruitment and exchange programs.
- Drive partnership opportunities with diagnostic labs, pharmacies, and health-tech platforms.
- Work closely with the COO to identify new revenue streams (telehealth, specialty clinics, international collaborations, etc.).
4. Digital Transformation & Online Presence
- Manage hospital website, telehealth platform, and online appointment systems.
- Increase online visibility through SEO, content marketing, and digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with IT to integrate CRM and patient engagement tools.
5. Data, Research & Reporting
- Track KPIs: patient footfall, revenue growth, student admissions, campaign ROI, and customer acquisition costs.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for management.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies for new business opportunities.
6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead the marketing & business development team (executives, digital marketers, designers, etc.).
- Work with doctors, academic staff, and management to align marketing strategies with operational goals.
- Train front-line staff on patient communication and service excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5-7 years of proven experience in healthcare, hospital, or service industry marketing.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare market dynamics in Bangladesh.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Digital marketing, CRM, and data analytics expertise.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong results orientation.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- % growth in patient volumes (OPD, IPD, diagnostics).
- Increase in student enrollment numbers.
- No. of corporate contracts signed.
- ROI from marketing campaigns.
- Improvement in patient satisfaction & retention scores.
Organizational Chart & Reporting LinesTop-Level Reporting
- Reports Directly To: Deputy Managing Director & COO
- Secondary Reporting (Matrix): Works closely with the Medical Director (clinical services) and the Principal of Medical College (academic services) for alignment.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- With OPD/Diagnostic Services:
- Collaborates to design patient-centric promotional packages (discount cards, health camps, diagnostic offers).
- Coordinates campaigns to increase daily patient footfall.
- With Academic Division (Medical College & Nursing Institute):
- Supports student recruitment drives, career fairs, and admission campaigns.
- Aligns branding with the academic prestige of SMCH.
- With Finance Department:
- Works on pricing strategies, ROI calculations, and budget allocations for marketing activities.
- With HR & Training:
- Conducts service excellence and patient-handling workshops for frontline staff.
- With IT / Telehealth Unit:
- Integrates CRM, telehealth, and online appointment systems into marketing funnels.
- With Senior Leadership (Chairman / COO / Principal):
- Provides market intelligence, quarterly business development reports, and strategic growth recommendations.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration
- Master of Development Studies (MDS) in Business Studies
Experience
- At least 7 years
